It's Christmas Time!

We started setting up for Christmas yesterday. Micah's getting bigger, so this year he came out to help. Here are TWO videos of the fun that ensued.

Happy Thanksgiving

We are so thankful for so many things this year. Unfortunately, this is where the pics end until I get a new digital camera purchased! Ours stopped working about a week ago. I need to steal some pics from Gabby before she leaves from Thanksgiving weekend. We did get a new video camera though so we will keep taking videos! Don't worry - I am shopping the online deals looking for a new camera!!

For those that don't know yet, Baby Girl (no, she doesn't have a name yet - not even a secret one!) will be born on January 27th, unless she decides to make an early appearance! I will be 39 weeks then and it's 1 week before Micah's 2nd birthday.

We headed out to the pumpkin patch because we got a nice cool day on Saturday....of course there was a slight downpour, but that didn't dampen the fun. Micah just worked on his pumpkin during the rain. He loved the hayride...so we did it twice!

End of summer trip

We went to St. Paul for Paul's wedding last weekend. It was a somewhat exhausting trip for mommy and daddy. And Micah has been a goofball around the house lately...enjoy!

Vacation in Colorado

We had a great vacation in Colorado last week. We spent a couple days in Vail and then headed back to Denver for a couple days. We enjoyed the cooler weather up there, it was a nice escape from our record breaking heat in Austin this summer. Enjoy the slideshow!

Summer Vacation

We went to Seabrook Island a couple weeks ago with the Thompson side of the family. We finally got Micah to meet his Aunt Nicole, Uncle Mark, and cousins Anna and Ethan! And we got to meet little E-baby too! We had a great vacation week at the beach - thanks so much to Aunt Kathy and Uncle Michael for letting us stay in their place!! Micah did so great on the flight and drive out there. It was a long day of travel - flying in to Atlanta and then driving 6 hours to the beach, but oh my did he love the beach! We had a great time on vacation but vacation with a baby sure doesn't seem like vacation....we got home and felt like we needed a vacation ;) Enjoy the pics and video!

Sprinkler Park

We made an impromptu visit to the sprinkler park on Memorial Day to show daddy where Micah loves to go. So that is why he's wearing baggy jean shorts and not a swimsuit! He loves to run around this place and it usually wears him out for a nice nap! Enjoy...

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everybody!

We took Micah to an easter egg hunt at church yesterday and he found 5 eggs, which was 5 more than we thought he'd get. That's not even counting the one he picked up and then threw back down, nor the one that he picked up and put in another kid's basket.

We had fun painting eggs too, although Micah only got to watch this year. Next year should be even better! What a fast year it's been, remember last Easter?

A Trip down memory lane...

Micah is 1!!!!!!!!!

Our little guy is already 1! We had a great time at his birthday party. I think most of you have already seen the pics but in case you haven't, here's the link:



Also we had a great 2 weeks with Grammy. Since we did a jewelry show (mommy and Grammy), Daddy got to watch Micah for 2 days! He did an awesome job. Micah took fabulously long naps with daddy and had a fun time at the park too. They even made it out to see us at the show in Round Rock. Good job Daddy!

Micah had his 1 year appointment including 4 shots...ouch! He did really good though. He is about 23 pounds and 30 1/4 inches tall. That puts him in the 60th percentile for weight and 70th for height. He's a good eater! He is eating hot dogs, chicken, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, quesadillas, peas, green beans, blackeyed peas, and all kinds of fruits. He loves fruit! He's not too picky, but if he doesn't want it, he tosses it on the floor! He just started drinking whole milk today, but it'll probably be a few more months before the bottle is eliminated completely. He is good at his sippy cup and straw cups though.

We did get a new video camera so we should be able to post videos more easily now.

Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas this year - Micah's 1st Christmas. Meemee, Poppy, Aunt Becky, and Aunt Laura all came down to see us in Texas for the week. We ate a lot, enjoyed a few games of Trivial Pursuit, watched some bowl games, went out to watch UFC...but mostly Micah was the main attraction.


Micah is now 11 months old. 1 more month til he turns 1. Wow. What a big year it's been. It's been great. He is now taking several steps at a time and building a little more confidence with the walking. Won't be long til he's running around the house and I can't keep up with him! We got a good video of the walking last night so we'll get that on here soon.
